The thing about Italy (especially top tourist destinations such as Venice) is that the cities have become full of more tourists that Venetians. So one day we took a boat to islands near Venice. I found this day away from Venice to be so relaxing as we were able to get away from the tourists.
When you take the boat to the islands, the first stop is Murano, the Mazzoboro and then Burano. I would recommend getting off the boat in Mazzoboro and walking over into Burano because the pedestrian bridge is really nice and Mazzoboro is a great place for picture taking. I took the above photo in Burano. Time exploring these islands was one of my favorite and most memorable experiences in Italy.
